Rony Tunby
Hieronymus Heyerdahl Tunby, or more known as Rony Tunby, was born on April 6, 1887 in Houghton, South Dakota. He was the first son to Erika and Otto Tunby. Rony moved to Westmore, MT to homestead in 1910. He lived in a one room house for three years, which was the required amount of time to stay in order to claim it as his land. In 1917, Rony decided to enlist into the Army during WWI and went to Panama. He was discharged after eight months of service. After being discharged, he returned to Houghton, South Dakota after his service to farm with his wife until 1925 when he moved to Montana. Rony and his wife had five children born to his wife. Rony died in October 24, 1960 because of Hodgkin's disease in the Miles City Hospital.
